Account Manager – Central Government

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Account Manager with between 2-5 years’ experience to join our successful sales team in the UK and manage a number of our Central Government accounts.
Represent our client in a set list of UK Central Government accounts and be responsible for expanding sales to these accounts. Formulate and manage an Account Planning process. Establish and manage virtual teams of resource, UK or globally depending upon the opportunity Able to engage and leverage Partner contacts and expertise To manage the sales process from discovery through negotiation and closing Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain accurate sales forecasts Formulate New Business strategies within the Accounts and implement tactical plans to achieve the assigned quota. Build and maintain consultative relationships with C-Level executives across functional areas within the client base. Gain knowledge and insight to Customer's business priorities and challenges and propose our clients solutions to address these needs. Educate prospects and customers regarding our clients Product Portfolio. Identify key decision makers and the customer’s budgetary process Communicate concepts to technical and non-technical key client decision makers. New Business (revenue) generation via a named set of accounts and a list of development accounts Growth of Products as well as Services Revenues from the named account set. Accountable for positioning and driving: 3D Security Architecture to prospects Measured by 4/6 client meetings a week with an annual revenue quota.
Desired Background
Demonstrate an understanding of Government Procurement frameworks Demonstrate an understanding of Government IT Security Drivers – such as ICO, CESG, PSN CoCo Have experience dealing with Central Government Ideally 2-5 years Direct Touch experience in either IT – Networking/Security sales arena. Regular proven over achievement with examples of direct involvement and ownership of wins within Proven ability to understand personal motivation of customers within a broader political dynamic Possess the drive and energy for such a national role covering a multitude of accounts as well as collaborating with multiple partners to succeed. Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer Solution selling background (TCO/ROI based approach)
